APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION INTO THE PETROLEUM TRAINING INSTITUTE PART-TIME PROGRAMME FOR 2011/2012 ACADEMIC SESSION
PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE:
The following programmes are available at HND and ND levels.
1. Petroleum Engineering Technology
2. Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology
3. Industrial Safety and Environmental Technology
4. Petroleum and natural Gas Processing Engineering Technology
5. Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
6. Mechanical Engineering Technology
7. Science Laboratory Technology
8. Mineral Resource Engineering
9. Petroleum Marketing and Business Studies
DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
Three (3) Academic years for Higher and National Diploma Programmes.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicants for the HND programmes must possess PTI Diploma or National Diploma (ND) relevant to the applicant’s choice of programme with a minimum of “ Lower Credit” or Pass Grade” and not less than one year post qualification Industrial work experience.
2. Applicant for National Diploma programmes must possess GCE O’ Level, WASC or SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with at least credit passes in four (4) subjects relevant to applicants choice of programme, at not more than two sittings
3. Applicants must not be less than 24 years at the time of application
APPLICATION FEE
Applicants are to pay a non-refundable fee of N6,000.00 ( six thousand naira) into PTI-ICE account, United Bank for Africa (UBA PTI branch, Effurun, Delta State on collection of teller from the Industrial Continuing Education ( ICE) office.
CLOSING DATE
Completed application forms should be submitted on or before 30th September, 2011.
LATE APPLICATION FEE
Applicants are to pay Six thousand, five hundred naira (N6,500.00) for late application forms. Completed forms should be returned on or before 7th October, 2011.
