Registration for Noun’s  First MOOCs
As part of its social responsibility in making higher education more accessible to many, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) calls for registration in its first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). This maiden course is on History and Philosophy of Science.

What are MOOCs?

MOOCs are short online courses aimed at unlimited participation and accessible through the web. It has no entry requirement, ideal for independent study and life-long learning.

Aims and Objectives

This course, History and Philosophy of Science, focuses on the origin and evolution of science, methods of scientific enquirers, scientific and technological inventions, and notable Nigerian scientists. Learners will be taken through the details of each of the topics by instructors who will facilitate the course.

  • teeming Nigerian youths and beyond
  • students seeking admission into tertiary institutions
  • science and non-science students who are interested in scientific methods
  • faculty and researchers

Registration ends on Monday, 27th June 2016. The course will last a period of six weeks and it is online-based. On successful completion, learners will receive a certification of completion at the end of the course.
